No heating, no hot water or a boiler fault? Call now to arrange a visit from one of our Gas Safe engineers.
Pick the closest match and either complete the short form or call the number above.
Carbon monoxide alarm sounding? Stop using the boiler, open doors and windows and leave the property. Call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999. If anyone is drowsy, breathless or has a headache, call 999 as well.
Call them before you call us.
Gas boiler faults across combi, system and conventional boilers in London homes and flats.
The most common call-out, day or night.
Check first: The pressure gauge on the boiler. Most systems sit between 1 and 1.5 bar when cold. Then check the thermostat is turned up and the timer is on.
Likely cause: Low pressure, a lockout, a failed diverter valve, or a frozen condensate pipe in cold weather. Tell us whether it is the heating, the hot water, or both.
Repeated resets, ignition failure and flame faults.
Check first: Note the code or flashing light pattern first, then try one reset. Only one.
Likely cause: Ignition failure, flame detection or low pressure. If it locks out again straight away, stop resetting and call. Repeated resets hide the fault rather than fix it.
Gauge near zero, or pressure that will not hold.
Check first: The gauge with the system cold. Between 1 and 1.5 bar is normal.
Likely cause: A slow drop over months is normal top-up territory. A drop over days usually means a leak, a failed expansion vessel, or a discharging pressure relief valve.
Drips, corrosion and pressure relief discharge.
Check first: Where the water is coming from: inside the casing, a pipe joint, or the outside discharge pipe. If the valve is safe to reach, turn off the water supply to the boiler.
Likely cause: Each location points somewhere different. Keep water clear of electrics and tell us where you saw it.
Any code on the display. Have it ready when you call.
Check first: Write the code down exactly, or photograph the display.
Then: Codes are manufacturer specific, so the same code means different things on a Worcester and a Vaillant. Look up your make, model and code together, or call 0203 868 6251 with all three and we can tell you what is likely involved.
Kettling, banging, gurgling and pump whine.
Check first: What the noise sounds like: a rumble like a kettle, a gurgle, or a whine.
Likely cause: Kettling points to limescale or sludge in the heat exchanger. Gurgling points to trapped air or poor circulation. A whine or grind points to the pump.

Excellent from start to finish. The Engineer was helpful on the phone diagnosing the issue, and was able to start and finish the work in good time, and made every effort to do the best job possible. All working well, and was able to get a long guarantee.
Good value for money & was able to sort out my boiler quickly by ordering next day delivery for broken parts. Friendly, punctual service and laid out all the costs beforehand which was helpful. Would recommend.

A boiler fault has to be diagnosed properly before a final repair rate can be agreed. Here is how the charging works.

Cold spots along the bottom of radiators, a boiler that kettles, and rooms that take a long time to warm up usually point to sludge in the system rather than a fault with the boiler itself. A power flush clears it. If the engineer finds that is the cause, it will be explained on the visit along with the rate before anything goes ahead.

Booked them in for a power flush after ongoing heating issues. The engineer was very thorough and explained what was being done at each stage. We noticed a huge difference in how quickly the radiators now heat up.
